BREEDING PROGRAM
We strive to produce healthy, structurally sound dogs that maintain the hallmark affectionate and joyful temperament the Samoyed is known for without sacrificing their working ability. In order to this we health test all dogs before breeding, and compete in both conformation and performance sports as well as actually work our dogs.
All of our dogs are family, and are treated as such. For this reason, new homes are carefully selected and will receive a lifetime of support. Puppies are born in my bedroom and raised in home following the Puppy Culture program, which focuses on early neurological stimulation and clicker training to produce happy, confident adults by giving puppies the best possible start in life and setting them up for success. I strongly encourage puppy owners to continue on with this program and contact me with any and all questions even after their bundles of fur have come home. I love to hear from potential members of the family so if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us!
PUPPY PROCEDURE
You may fill out an application at any time. This application not only tells me if you may be a good fit for a Samoyed puppy, but also what temperament you are looking for and helps me in matching you to your ideal family member. I reference this often when matching homes- so be as detailed as you can!
The next step would be an in person meeting or video chat during which I can get to know you, see your home and get an even better feel for what type of puppy would fit your lifestyle. After this meeting you may be placed on the waiting list if I believe you would be a good fit for one of our puppies. I require a $100 nonrefundable wait-list fee to be put on the list. This is enough to show you are serious, but still low enough that you do not feel trapped into having to wait for one of my puppies if something else comes along. This fee is waved for experienced show/sporting/working homes and repeat buyers. After I have an idea of puppy count, I will go down the wait-list to contact people and see if they are still interested in a puppy, as it may be a while from the initial approval to this point.
At seven weeks old the puppies go through a temperament evaluation. These evaluations formally analyze each puppy's temperament, and along with breeder observations throughout the puppy's life, help determine which puppy is suited to which forever family. At eight weeks puppies will undergo a conformation evaluation. Obvious pet puppies may be placed in their homes after this initial evaluation as long as they are not in a fear period. If I have show homes lined up or am planning on keeping a puppy myself, those that show potential as a show puppy may be withheld up to twelve weeks old to better evaluate them. I reserve first choice in any given litter.
As a breeder, my ultimate goal is to better the Samoyed breed and produce excellence and versatility, which is why only after evaluations can I make the final decisions regarding placements. It is our greatest desire to place our puppies with the homes that will best suit them; creating the perfect match between puppy and owner. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions regarding our puppy placement protocol.
I do not ship puppies. Pickup must be done in person.
If driving isn't an option for you there are other options we can discuss.
